The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all projects within the Facilities Department to ensure successful delivery in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. This role involves end-to-end project management, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and performance monitoring to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business, providing clear communication, progress reporting, and strategic insights to senior leadership. The role is integral to driving operational excellence, optimizing resource utilization, and supporting the organization's commitment to delivering a best-in-class product and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that management of all projects that relates to the buildings under the
1. Johannesburg and Pretoria
2. Guidance and oversight in the regions
Costing of said projects
1. Managing the budget and cost report for said projects
Securing resources for said projects
1. Internal or external resources
2. Price negotiations
Annual involvement in the setting of the new budget
Assist in the setting of the maintenance programme for December/January
Managing and overseeing all TI (tenant installation) projects
1. Planning of cost
2. Planning of resources
3. Running project on time and to budget
4. Delivery to tenant expectations
5. Execution of CAPEX, building and lobby upgrades
Involved in the running of the facilities and maintenance elements of the portfolio
Participate in site meetings and project requirements and specifications as and when required
Ensure that projects plans are managed and monitored to reach project goals within the set timelines
Manage and control projects budget according to the project plan
Manage projects risks, report to management and come up with solutions
Develop and recommend any project management processes and procedures for records, governance and compliance purposes
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects deliver
Report progress on all projects as and when required
Perform and other adhoc tasks as and when required by management
EDUCATION
Matric
Degree/Diploma in
- Project Management/ Building Science / Building Construction
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
5 years field experience in
o Project and construction management
o Facilities and property management
o Experience in construction processes and procedures
o Supplier appointments and cost negotiations
o Experience in the management of staff
o Experience in the setting, management and control of budgets
o Strong administration skills
o Strong negotiation skills
o Computer Literate (Intermediate to Advance Excel skills, powerpoint presentations skills, MS Word, Microsoft Outlook)
