We're working confidentially with an infrastructure delivery organisation seeking a Project Manager - Grid Integration to lead complex, multi-stakeholder power projects from early planning through commissioning.
This role suits someone who is comfortable managing technical complexity, commercial accountability, and stakeholder pressure - particularly in regulated or public-sector environments.

The Role:
As Project Manager - Grid Integration, you'll take ownership of the full project lifecycle for grid-connected power infrastructure projects.
You'll act as the central coordination point across engineering teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders - ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Accountability Areas:
Project Delivery & Governance

• Lead end-to-end project execution from planning to handover
• Develop and manage detailed schedules, budgets, and delivery plans
• Monitor progress, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Serve as primary interface with clients, consultants, and internal leadership
• Manage expectations, resolve issues, and maintain transparent communication
• Facilitate meetings, reviews, and technical workshops

Technical Oversight

• Coordinate engineering, construction, and commissioning activities
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, specifications, and safety requirements
• Support resolution of technical issues across design and site execution

Commercial & Contract Management

• Manage project budgets, cash flow, and financial performance
• Lead contract administration, scope control, variations, and change management
• Coordinate procurement activities and supplier performance

Risk, Quality & Safety

• Identify and actively manage project risks and mitigation strategies
• Ensure quality controls are implemented and maintained
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE requirements

Leadership

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams
• Build accountability, capability, and collaboration across the project environment

Background & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong experience delivering high-voltage, substation, or grid-connected infrastructure projects
• Proven track record managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Solid understanding of project controls, scheduling, and financial management
• Experience working within regulated or public-sector project environments
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
