Project Manager – Fibre Optics

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Project Manager
to oversee fibre optic infrastructure projects, including trench and aerial builds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both civil works and fibre optic networks, with hands-on knowledge of installation and testing procedures.Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end fibre optic projects (trench and aerial) from planning to completion Coordinate with civil teams, fibre splicers, and subcontractors Ensure projects meet technical specifications, quality standards, and deadlines Conduct site assessments and oversee safety compliance Maintain detailed project records and reporting Troubleshoot issues related to fibre and civil works Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
Proven experience managing fibre optic trench and aerial builds Solid understanding of civil construction practices Knowledge of fibre optic cable installation, splicing, and testing Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills Must have own reliable transport and a mobile phone Excellent communication and leadership abilities Ability to work independently and under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in fibre optics, civil engineering, or project management Experience working with utility providers or telecom companies

Contract length: 3 months
Pay: From R20000,00 per month
Work Location: In person
