Project Manager (Events Industry) required in Cape Town.
Are you a hands-on Operations & Events Manager who takes lead in managing daily operations and delivering standout events.
Based in Johannesburg, this role will require excellent financial acumen, warehouse and stock management, guide sales and technical teams, and ensure every project runs seamlessly from planning to execution.

Occasional travel to Cape Town required.
Requirements:
Matric, with relevant qualifications - Advantageous
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the events industry
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
Detailed knowledge and experience of delivering outdoor major events in e.g. sport, music, or similar sectors
Excellent financial and commercial acumen
Exceptional management and administration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, being confident in liaising with all clients across all sectors
A commitment to personal development and continual improvement, having a strong desire to undertake training & development
A working knowledge, and personal commitment, to sustainability and environmental issues
Duties and Responsibilities:
Report to the Managing Director and provide strong operational support
Take initiative and ownership -- this role requires a proactive, independent leader
Manage the stock control system and oversee warehouse operations for accuracy and efficiency
Lead and motivate sales and technical teams, ensuring seamless collaboration
Develop budgets and manage event planning from concept to completion
Travel to Cape Town occasionally and be primarily office-based
Plan and execute all aspects of events and activations, ensuring high-quality delivery
Manage budgets effectively, maintaining cost-efficiency without compromising standards
Oversee on-site teams, logistics, and timelines to ensure smooth event execution
Serve as a brand ambassador, building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners
Manage equipment and inventory, ensuring proper use and accountability
Collaborate with technicians on installations and site setups.
Conduct site inspections and design optimal event layouts.
Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively
Maintain strong client relationships and act as the main contact for project development
* Produce post-event reports and drive continuous improvement across projects
