Job Description

2MC Consulting Engineers has a vacancy open for a Project Manager. The position is based in the Gauteng and it's a contract position.

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

Minimum B-Tech in Civil Engineering or similar. Minimum of Five Years' experience. Understanding of Project Management Cycle (from Inception of Project to Completion). Good communication skills and must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. Candidates from Previous Disadvantage Groups will have a preference.
Key Responsibilities:

Consultation with the client or client's authorized representative. Inspection of the project site. Developing and defining the scope of work where required. Preliminary investigation, planning and a level of design appropriate to allow decisions on feasibility. Assessment of existing infrastructural elements with the view of informing the project on options of how to integrate existing works with proposed new works. Consultation with authorities having rights or powers of sanction as well as consultation with the public and stakeholder groups. Advice to the client as to regulatory and statutory requirements, including environmental management and the need for surveys, analysis, tests and site or other investigations, as well as approvals, where such are required for the completion of the report, and arranging for these to be carried out at the client's expense. Searching for, obtaining, investigating and collating available data, drawings and plans relating to the works. Investigating financial and economic implications relating to the proposals or feasibility studies. Assist the client to develop timeframes for next stages of the project where required. Implementing projects from stage 1 to stage 6. Understanding construction contracts (GCC, JBCC etc.) Report writing and presentation skills. An ability to manage a team of 5 or more personnel. Must have a drivers license Code 8/10 with reliable driving experience
