To plan, execute, and finalize construction and infrastructure projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources, coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors, and ensuring that all aspects of the project meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full lifecycle of projects from initiation to completion.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in line with client requirements.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Manage stakeholder communication and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Lead and supervise project teams to ensure effective performance and adherence to project goals.
Oversee procurement, contracts, and resource allocation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Copy of valid registration with SACPCMP:
Professional Construction Manager (PrCM) or Professional Construction Project Manager (PrCPM)*
OR
Copy of valid registration with ECSA:
Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) or Professional Engineer (Pr Eng)
Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in project management within the construction or infrastructure sector.
Proven experience managing large-scale projects from concept to completion.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
