In this vital role, you will be instrumental in developing, designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining renewable power systems across South Africa and Africa. Our projects span Commercial and Industrial to Utility-Scale solar installations, including but not limited to solar PV,and BESS.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Design and InterconnectionDesign renewable systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet specific project requirements.Conduct shading analyses, site assessments, and energy production modelling.Optimize system performance by selecting suitable components like solar panels, inverters, and mounting systems.Lead grid interconnection strategies and studies.Project Management SupportLead and manage the entire technical team and projects at Thula Moya Energy.Oversee solar projects from initiation to completion.Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.Ensure adherence to local regulations and industry standards.Coordinate with technical stakeholders, including Technical Project managers and Project Engineers.Demonstrate leadership in managing the technical team.Provide technical leadership to minimize engineering risks.Build and maintain sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders for efficient execution of plans.Manage day-to-day site activities, including oversight of contractors and subcontractors.Lead the development and motivation of human resources within the discipline, ensuring a competent succession pipeline for project needs.Coordinate stocks and project resources to ensure timely and efficient project execution.Technical ExpertiseAddress and resolve technical issues in solar power systems.Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.Conduct quality assurance and system commissioning.Permitting and ComplianceHandle documentation for permits and approvals.Maintain compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.Keep accurate project records.Commercials & Client CommunicationWork with the commercial team and clients to assess solar energy needs and provide technical advice.Communicate effectively about project progress, timelines, and potential challenges.Candidate ProfileBachelorxe2x80x99s degree in electrical engineering or Renewable Energy.At least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing PV solar projects in South Africa.Proficient in solar design software.Knowledge of local solar installation regulations and Grid Codes.Strong project management and communication skills.Professional certifications such as Pr.
