Responsibilities

Manage engineering projects at sugar mills, including new installations. Oversee incoming tenders and prepare engineering-specific submissions. Analyse mill performance and propose engineered solutions to improve efficiency. Conduct on-site assessments at sugar mills in South Africa and across Africa. Prepare engineering proposals, case studies, and technical reports. Drive sales of new and repeat equipment, supporting business growth. Coordinate the technical support team to ensure high-quality service delivery. Ensure compliance with FIDIC contracts and client requirements.

Requirements

BSc / BEng / BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or related field). 5-10 years' experience in the sugar industry (essential). Strong project management and tendering experience. Knowledge of FIDIC contracts. Proven sales and client relationship skills. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. Proficiency in MS Office; project management and CAD exposure beneficial. Valid passport and driver's licence. Willingness to travel extensively within South Africa and across Africa.
