We have a client with an amazing opportunity based in South Africa (Free State / Eastern Cape / Johannesburg)
Role: Project Development Specialist (Renewables)
Industry: Renewable Energy & Project Development
Level: Senior Specialist
Key Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in renewable energy project development (all stages to ready-to-build)
• Proven experience with permitting processes for renewable energy projects
• Strong technical and business understanding of land acquisition and development processes
• Experience in renewable energy sectors (solar, wind, energy storage) with large-scale PV and wind project focus
• Knowledge of basic real estate legal principles for land acquisition navigation
• Experience working with local administration and regulatory authorities
• Understanding of grid connection processes and technical requirements
• Proficiency in English (written and oral communication)
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 80% (primarily eastern South Africa)
• Experience with Eskom and other key stakeholders in the South African energy sector
• Ability to work across time zones and flexible hours
