Background:







Provide financial and grant management to the Environmental Programmes Team. Maintaining, reviewing, reconciling, and balancing accounting records and systems for the project office.

Minimum Requirements



Financial / Accounting Degree or Diploma Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience as an Accountant Experience in complex project driven environment Advanced level of computer literacy and office communication technology tools. Preference for advanced use of Business Management Systems or Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) Superior writing and verbal skills in English and at least another South African language. Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analyses. Relationship building skills Excellent planning and organizing skills Accuracy and high attention to detail Problem solving ability and solutions-focused Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting deadlines Professionalism in personal interactions (both externally and internally) Positive attitude Passionate about conservation and people You recognise yourself in the values of WWF: Courage, Integrity, Respect, Collaboration and Inclusion

Duties and Responsibilities



Budget planning and preparation, financial forecasting, analysis, cash flow and tracking project variances. Produce project-specific reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to donor requirements. Manage quarterly and monthly financial planning and budget advance cycles. Facilitate budget revision and realignment as required and communicate regularly with programme staff in this regard. Assist the Programme Manager develop and manage funding contracts and proposals. Assist project managers with monitoring, analyses, forecasting and comments upon project variances. Provide explanatory narrative for any financial reports as required. Respond to requests for more detail from donors. Liaise and Compile information for external auditors for project audits, as required Monitor the accuracy of all reports generated by NetSuite and import yearly budget into NetSuite. Stay abreast of programmatic developments through regular interaction with program staff. * Ensure maximum cost recovery, including overhead costs and levies on all projects.
