The Programme Manager: Tshwane Programme is accountable to the Programme Director (PrgD) of the Coega Development Corporation (CDC).
MANDATE
The Prog M: Tshwane Programme is mandated by the Board of Directors of the CDC to take responsibility for the project management excellence of designated infrastructure works required for the implementation of the Coega Project under the overall direction of the PrgD
DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBLIGATIONS
The primary objective of the Prog M is to deliver functional world-class purpose-built infrastructure, assisting various Clientele entities that the CDC assists in developing infrastructure projects and related services through the CDC Programme/s. In pursuance of this primary objective, the Prog M is required to:
Provide the CDC with Programme Management skills;
Management of Project Managers and other assigned staff;
Provide Team Leadership, guidance, and Mentoring;
Co-ordinate day-to-day Programme related activities;
Ensure Projects within the Programme are planned, executed and completed on time within budget and meeting clients' needs;
To provide Architectural design expertise on special projects and liaison with other professionals;
Design co-ordination and Value Engineering (within Engineering, Cross Discipline and Clients);
Custodian of the Programmes Value Proposition and accountable for its implementation;
Responsible for relationship and stakeholder management and attends all Programme related meetings;
Ensure collation, packaging and timeous submission of quality information that might be required from time to time on Programme related matters for reporting to internal and external customers;
Responsible for collation and packaging of monthly progress reports for the Programme;
Responsible for implementation, following up and reporting on project controls (EVM, RMP, SMP, QMP, IPIP Cashflows, S-curves and Programme schedule);
Responsible for producing Infrastructure Programme Implementation Plan (IPIP) and ensuring its final signature by all the relevant parties;
Ensure that projects implemented by the CDC are budgeted for by the Client
Reviews document and designs produced and submitted by the Service Providers before being used or distributed to other parties;
Collates Programme performance information for reporting;
Responsible for the timeous submission of IA Fees claims to the Clients;
Responsible for responding to all Audit queries;
Responsible for professional development of Junior PMs assigned to the Programme.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent;
Masters of Architecture will be an added advantage;
Professionally registered as PrArch with 15 years +;
15+ Years post graduate experience in the Built Environment fields inclusive of active project management experience;
A Project Management Professional Registration (Prince 2 Practitioner Certification/PMP), SACPCMP Registration;
Office design experience using Architectural software (AutoCAD/ ArchiCAD. Software, etc.);
Proficiency in Revit software and BIM Model packages will be an added advantage;
Expertise in infrastructure solutions including the Office Asset Class and Industrial factories & Warehouses;
Oversee complex projects and provide insights across other Clusters and Business Units;
Managerial and leadership skills;
Good communication and report writing skills;
Guiding and management of team & junior staff, client engagement, team leadership and mentoring;
Manage customer relations effectively;
Liaison and management of multiple stakeholders (political, technical, labour unions, community representatives) at senior level;
Develop Business Plans.
