POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Program Coordinator (Intern) role is designed to expose the Intern to different aspects of ALA's Short Programs, associated internal and external stakeholders, and to support the deliverables of the programs. The Intern will benefit from in-depth hands-on training, shared learning, and round-table discussions with the Short Programs team and other ALA stakeholders. He/she will have the opportunity to be involved in multiple programs, including the ALA Model AU, Global Scholars Program, School Visits, and other camps and events. The Intern will provide administrative and operational support for programs, including communications, logistics, administration, and other tasks as necessary. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to accelerate professional development, gain vast exposure to ALA's short programs and operations, and build administrative, business development, and program management skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
School Visits:
Support delivery school visits, including WLSA, Grange, Alpha Beta
MAU:
Support the delivery of MAU
GSP:
Support the delivery of all 4 GSPs
Other Camps:
Support the delivery of other camps, including NMCF, Allan Gray Foundation, among others
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
Required Education and Experience:
Tertiary level education
Program coordination experience
Logistics and events experience
Good computer skills - Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
