Requirements



Appropriate relevant 3-year qualification in Human Resources

or relevant related field.



Two (2) - five (5) years' experience at a professional level

within the Employee Relations/Labour Relations field



Theoretical and practical exposure to the broader Labour

Relations field



Incumbent requires practical exposure to the labour dispute

resolution processes specifically arbitrations



Key Performance Areas



Provide specialist advice to the organization on a wide range

of employee relations issues with the aim of minimizing



labour disputes and /or safeguarding the interest of the



organization



Provide a specialist corporate consultation service to line

manager and other stakeholders pertaining to broad



Employee Relations issues



Provide feedback to departments and directorates on disputes

at external disputes forum



To ensure effective, efficient and adequate development by

representing the City in external dispute resolution



proceedings



Representing the City in disputes resolution proceedings

which include condonation and conciliation proceedings,



and providing strategic support/assistance and or



representation to SPO's in arbitration proceedings



Ensuring high standards of written communication to a variety

of stake holders in senior management



Serve as a key liaison with the Legal Services department

pertaining to all labour related matters.
