Professional Nurse
Job Description
Professional Nurse - Theatre needed for a Private Hospital situated 120 kilometers north-east of Cape Town near the N1 highway. To deliver safe, quality nursing care according to scope of practice. Must be registered on SANC and be a Registered Nurse certified with at least one year experience in private hospital environment. 1 year post-graduate qualification experience in an operating theatre.
Degree / Diploma in General Nursing
Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing Science
Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
Pharmacology
Scientific nursing principles and process
Nursing record keeping
Patient assessment skills
Nursing processes and procedures
Computer literate (Microsoft Offi ce)
Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
Relevant nursing legislation
Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialized wards)
