About the Role
Letchmee Naidoo Attorneys seeks a skilled
Part-Time
professional to provide professional support in a dynamic law office environment. The ideal candidate will have
strong practical knowledge of Magistrates' and High Court procedures
and the ability to draft, track, and manage legal documentation with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Draft legal documents including pleadings, affidavits, notices, and correspondence.
Assist with case management, including filing, service, and tracking of court processes.
Liaise with courts, counsel, and clients to ensure all procedural requirements are met.
Maintain accurate records and calendars for ongoing matters.
Follow up on cases to ensure progress and compliance with timelines.
Support the principal attorney with research, document preparation, and trial readiness.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in a legal support role.
Solid understanding of
Magistrates' Court and High Court rules and procedures.
Excellent drafting skills and command of legal terminology.
Strong organizational and tracking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document formatting.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Attributes
Experience with litigation and case management software (e.g., GhostPractice or similar).
Attention to detail, initiative, and professionalism.
Flexible schedule and ability to work both in-office and remotely when needed.
Working Hours:
Part-time (approximately 15-20 hours per week, flexible schedule)
