Our client based in Cato Ridge is seeking an organized Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a production environment and a good understanding of quality standards in a food environment, HACCP, GMP.

Requirements:

• Technical experience in a production environment
• Good understanding of quality standards in a food environment (HACCP, GMP)
• Good excel and MS Office skills
• Hands on approach with dealing with staff
• Attained qualification in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing or productions environment
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control methods, and safety regulations
• Proficiency in using computer software and production management tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic working understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics and mechanics.
• This job typically involves a certain degree of physical effort.

Duties:

• Overseeing the production process from start to finish xe2x80x93 raw materials, receiving, processing, finished goods, despatch
• Meeting production deadlines
• Daily, weekly, monthly planning
• Ensuring that production meets quality and health and hygiene safety standards
• Monitoring of workers
• Reporting/quotations/liaising with contractors
• Ensuring all equipment is in good working order (Hyster, production)
• Excellent decision-making skills, problem solving, strategic planning, effective leadership, good communication skills.
• Supervise and provide leadership to the production team, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and manage production schedules to meet operational targets and customer demands.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure product excellence.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased productivity.
• Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production-related issues and optimize operations.
• Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on key performance indicators.
• Control inventory levels to support production schedules and minimize waste.
• Participate in budget planning and cost control initiatives.
• Maintain facility and equipment through preventative and critical maintenance (breakdowns).
• Self-motivated and diligence
