Production Manager â?? Citrus And/or Avocado

Job Description
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants should be post-matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in agriculture, with at least 3 years' experience in the cultivation of citrus and/or avocados
- Knowledge of modern production practices
- Specific knowledge/ experience in irrigation practices will be to your advantage
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Production: Plant, schedule irrigation, apply fertilizer, pest, plague and weed control, prune, harvest, monitoring, all manipulations
- Personnel and administration: Labor planning and management, recordkeeping, plan transport and accommodation, maintenance (equipment / orchards / general)
- Financial: Cost control by focusing on productivity
