Production Coordinator (6-month Contract)
We are recruiting for a Production Coordinator to join a well-established manufacturing company in Maitland, Cape Town that delivers metering solutions nationwide. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience in a production coordination or stock control role within a manufacturing environment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient stock management, production reporting and quality control processes across the Cape Town and Johannesburg branches.
Minimum Requirements:

• Matric Certificate.
• Vehicle and valid Driver's License.
• Proven experience in administrative assistance.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in using Sage for production and stock control processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of all manufacturing and stock control processes using Sage system, ensuring proper filing and documentation.
• Coordinate the generation of stock orders from local suppliers in collaboration with the Production Manager.
• Support the Production Manager in maintaining optimal stock PAR levels across manufacturing and dispatch functions in Cape Town, Johannesburg, and offsite warehouses.
• Report directly to the Production Manager by generating comprehensive reports on production targets, figures, and related metrics.
• Manage all stock movement processes relating to dispatch and transfer in coordination with Sales Coordinators in both Cape Town and Johannesburg offices.
• Arrange and oversee local courier services for dispatching stock items to both Cape Town and Johannesburg.
• Assist in quarterly stocktakes and address stock-related queries alongside the Logistics Supervisor and Production Manager.
• Participate in Quality Team, identifying and escalating any quality concerns regarding components to the Production Manager.
• Carry out any additional tasks or reasonable duties as requested by management.
