Our client in the Agricultural sector is looking to employ a Production Controller. This position will be based in Kirkwood.
Requirements:
- The candidate must have passed Grade 12 (Matric).
- A Diploma or B-Tech (Industrial Engineering/ Relevant Qualification) will be an advantage.
- Proven Computer literacy xe2x80x93 MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Previous production environment experience will be an advantage. Preferably in a FMCG environment.
- The ability to work independently in a dynamic and challenging environment with very technology advanced equipment.
- Must be willing to work day/ night shifts and will be part of the maintenance team outside the fruit-packing period.
- Responsible to optimise line productivity by management of line speeds and fruit drop allocation.
- Reporting to the Line Manager.
- Perform resource capacity planning on an ongoing basis.
- Identify and resolve process bottleneck and constraints.
- Optical sorter understanding relating to: Capability, calibration, verification, breakdowns, and maintenance xe2x80x93 work closely with the Packhouse Technology Specialist.
- Frequent communication and engagement with OEMxe2x80x99s and engineering department.
- Perform root cause analysis relating to quality system and equipment failures.
- Execute packing program within quality parameters and program requirements.
- Assume acting line management duties when required.
- Control and effectively guide production team.
- Adherence to GMP at all times.
