Raw Materials Controller

Operations

Accountable

for specialist outputs, as well as initiating quality standards within defined work routines and policies.

Job Purpose

To control the raw material warehousing operation and contract packaging requirements. Key Accountabilities and Outputs

Raw material control

Responsible for all controls relating to movement of raw materials from and to all sites xe2x80xa2 Manage stock counts and accountable for overall stock accuracy. xe2x80xa2 Ensure raw material stock availability on the production line when required. xe2x80xa2 Responsible for accurate weighing of batch packs according to BOM xe2x80xa2 Ensure stock management principals are applied to reduce redundant and expired stock. xe2x80xa2 Outsourced manufacturing (where applicable) xe2x80xa2 Accountable for communication regarding forecasts and production run dates. xe2x80xa2 Control movement of all raw materials and finished goods. xe2x80xa2 Accountable for raw materials and packaging accuracy across warehouses internally and externally. xe2x80xa2 Laisse with finance on yields and waste recons. xe2x80xa2 Plan and arrange collection in collaboration with the logistics department.

Adherence to Standards: Ensure strict adherence to Quality, Food, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards. xe2x80xa2 Enforcement: Enforce all food safety and health regulations, policies, and requirements at all times to guarantee a secure work environment. xe2x80xa2 Personal Hygiene: Maintain exceptional personal hygiene as per the organizationxe2x80x99s code of conduct. xe2x80xa2 Contamination Control: Raise awareness about potential physical product contamination and implement control measures to prevent it. xe2x80xa2 Health and Safety Measures: Take reasonable precautions to prevent health and safety hazards. Follow the prescribed incident reporting procedure in case of accidents. xe2x80xa2 Knowledge and Compliance: Stay updated with relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures. Enforce compliance with legislative and statutory requirements, as well as GMPxe2x80x99s (Good Manufacturing Practices). xe2x80xa2 Training: Attend and enforce the implementation of learnings from training sessions related to Quality, Food Safety, and Health and Safety. xe2x80xa2 Housekeeping: Maintain high levels of cleanliness and orderliness within the work environment.

General

Responsible to ensure housekeeping is performed and ensure that all products and activities are stored and are executed within the demarcated areas according to the housekeeping policy (green red and yellow areas) xe2x80xa2 Conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures xe2x80xa2 Maintains expected performance standards xe2x80xa2 While s are written up for the purpose of a basic outline of the work and responsibilities associated with the Job, the Company encourages and expects all employees from time to time, to assist with work that may not be a direct part of their job description

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 (Essential)
  • Upto 3 years experience (Operational Execution) FMCG
  • Basic MS Excel; MS Word; E Mail
