Role Purpose
The Production Assistant will ensure that all products are made efficiently, consistently, and to a high standard. This role is essential to keeping the kitchen running smoothly, maintaining hygiene, and meeting Moro Gelato's quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support:
Help with preparation, mixing, weighing, and production of our products.
Quality Control:
Ensure all batches meet quality standards and are consistent in taste, texture, and presentation.
Stock Management:
Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients; report shortages or any quality issues.
Equipment & Hygiene:
Keep production equipment, utensils, and work areas clean and sanitised at all times.
Team Support:
Work closely with the Production Manager and other assistants in other areas as needed and great attention to detail with regard to weighing out of product.
Requirements
Previous experience in a
restaurant or production kitchen
is essential.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to contributing as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
Able to follow instructions and standard recipes accurately.
Flexible and willing to work overtime or weekends as needed.
Working Hours
Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with overtime or weekend work depending on production needs.

Pay: R6400,00 - R6500,00 per month
