Production Assistant -

Our company have a position available for a Production Assistant, to support the Production Manager in daily food production operations by preparing, cutting, portioning, packaging and labelling in a safe, sanitary and efficient manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to -
Daily staff meetings
Stock ordering
Stock takes
Filing
Excel & Word work
Working on Acumatica daily
Capturing PO's daily
Being on the production floor

Cut, portion and package cheese and meats according to production requirements.

Label products accurately with weight, date and product information.

Operate basic production and packaging equipment (after training).

Maintain a clean and sanitary work area following food safety standards.

Follow all food safety, quality and workplace safety procedures.

Assist with cleaning and sanitising tools and equipment, as well as deep cleans.

Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals.

Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Ability to lift to 20kg.

Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Experience in food production + - 2 years.

Experience working on Acumatica or similar ERP system.

Knowledge of food safety practices (HACCP).

Basic math skills for weighing and labelling products.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Salary : R12 000 - R16 000 depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R12000,00 - R16000,00 per month
