Product Strategy Manager

Job Description


The Product Strategy Manager is responsible for developing, defining and guiding the brand product strategy by identifying and evaluating strategic opportunities and partnerships that drives Y Market share and resonance.

Key Performance Areas:

1. Responsible for developing, defining and guiding the brand product strategy to deliver business objectives.
2. Research and analyze the product offering, target market, industry trends and competitive activity to support brand growth and innovation
3. Perform and present monthly Brand Strategic reviews to ensure consistent learning and optimisation of all product initiatives
4. Stay-up-to-date on platform and product developments
5. Keep up-to-date with target market consumer preferences.
6. Provide direction and effective management of product offering.
7. Lead ideation and brainstorming sessions internally and externally that extract fresh thinking from attendees and results in actionable next steps.
8. Development and implementation of new and forward-thinking product development strategies to ensure the future proofing of the brand.
9. Conceptualisation, development and execution of new product opportunities in collaboration with other functions within the organisation.
10. Ensure that all new product development projects are commercially viable and/or grow consumers or audiences for the Y brand.
11. Effective project managing of the product development opportunities.
12. Perform any reasonable task that may be required by the Managing Director from time to time.

Education: A minimum BCOM degree

Experience: preferred 3 years experience in product strategy management within the media/technology sector advantageous. Must have a valid drivers license
