INTRODUCTION:

Komatsu South Africa has an amazing opportunity in the Operations Division at our Bellville brunch, for a Product Support and Sales Representative that provides expert technical advice internally and to customers, in support of Komatsu Mining Products. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 - 6 years of working experience as a PSSR and 2 years of supervisory experience. The preferred candidate should have a Trade certificate and experience with Komatsu products/heavy earth-moving equipment in a mining environment.

N3 or Grade 12 with Maths

Trade Certificate

Experience

4-6 years in the earthmoving industry

2 years of supervisory experience (an advantage)

Machine Operator License (an advantage)

Komatsu Products (an advantage)

SAP Quoting - Advanced

MS Excel - Intermediate

Microsoft Word and PowerPoint - Intermediate

CSS Portal KMG - Advanced

EPQ Care - Advanced

Komtrax - advanced

Summary description of the role:

• Remains up to date with safety procedures
• Plans for safety events and campaigns.
• Takes SHE into account in the planning of work output.
• Plans for inspection of equipment (new and used in stock), about dates, workshops, the nomination of service, stock, and other resources.
• Collates all informative materials, Komtrax registration forms, warranties, and manuals.
• Opens and maintains machine history files for each machine at a customer site.
• Conducts delivery inspection of the machine.
• Plans and prepares for anticipated service calls in conjunction with stakeholders (including RAMP Contracts)
• Plans for the modification of equipment.
• Oversees warranty repairs that may be required at the site.
• Submission of all Policy claims
• Field campaign implementation
• Compile Failure reports, TSI, and Machine conditioning reports, Evaluation reports.
• Provides technical advice & liaison with centralized Komatsu functions in the Service and Repairs machines.
• Plans for time to complete reporting.
• Collates information, downloads, inspections, PM clinic & troubleshooting for use in reporting.
• Compiles recommendations report to the Parts/Branch/Depot Manager for additional components, to meet the component change requirements.
