Product Quality Assurance Manager

The opportunity:

The Quality Assurance Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our product quality standards. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire quality assurance process implementing best practice and working collaboratively with cross functional teams to ensure our products meet or exceed customerxe2x80x99s expectations

Quality Assurance Department managing the quality team and requirements for the Value Brands (Jet, Exact and The Fix)

Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive quality assurance strategy aligned with the respective Brandxe2x80x99s goals and objectives
• Quality Standards: Establish and communicate clear quality standards, guidelines, and procedures for all apparel products, including fabrics, construction, finishing and packaging
• Quality Inspections: Manage Group Quality Control processes both locally and off-shore
• Quality Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality assessments and corrective actions, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Process improvement: continuously improve quality control processes, recommending and implementing changes as needed to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Supplier collaboration: collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues, conduct audits, and ensure that they meet our quality standards and requirements
• Training and development: provide training and guidance to production teams and quality control inspectors to enhance their understanding of quality standards and practices
• Root cause analysis: lead investigations into quality, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative action plans to eliminate recurring problems
• Quality control leadership: establish and maintain clear quality metrics and key performance indicators to measure and report on quality performance
• Team management: recruit train and supervise the team of product technologists and quality inspectors.
• Set performance goals provide coaching and feedback and conduct regular performance evaluations foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the quality assurance team. Collaborate with cross functional teams to address and resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions
• Supplier and vendor relations: establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality of product. Collaborate with suppliers to address quality concerns and implement quality improvement initiatives
• Documentation and reporting: maintain detailed records of quality assessments, inspections and test results and quality related documentation. Prepare and present quality reports to senior management highlighting trends and areas for improvement

Requirements:

• A degree or diploma in production management or similar qualification

• Minimum 10 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in the apparel industry, with a minimum of 2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a managerial or supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of the apparel production processes, materials and quality standards

• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams.

• Detail-orientated with a commitment to delivering high-quality products

• Proficiency in MS Office applications
