Product Manager Pigs
Job Description
:
Our client is seeking an experienced Product Manager (Pigs) to join the Camperdown, Pietermaritzburg team
Responsible for the physical and nutritional pig product specifications
Attend to general nutritional items with regards to these species
Monitoring and documenting feed production in line with legislation.
Product registrations with the Department of Agriculture.
Investigate and analyze customer complaints in accordance with the Customer Action Requests (CAR) and Non-Conformance Requests (NCR) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). Both for the market and production.
Management of the pig feed ranges and individual products
Attend various production meetings
Networking with breeding companies, veterinarians etc.
Manage raw materials
Provide nutritional support to the sales team
Assist the purchasing department
Requirements
Grade 12
Degree in Animal Husbandry
SACNASP registration
5 Years' experience in a similar position in a Feed Milling environment
Knowledge in animal husbandry and nutrition
Knowledge and understanding of linear programming and least cost formulation is required
An understanding of HACCP and ISO 22 000 quality systems would be advantageous
Valid drivers license
