A well-established international company specialising in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical speciality chemical raw materials requires the above to manage the sales and technology development of assigned product portfolios with international suppliers.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• A tertiary qualification in chemistry or a related sciences qualification is essential.
• Previous product or key account management experience managing principals and or selling chemical raw materials to customers within the pharmaceutical manufacturing markets is preferred.
• The company is happy to train the right person for a product management role as long as the person has worked within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Must have a strong commercial drive with an analytical mindset and good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to prepare and deliver presentations and reports are essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing international principals and representing their raw materials in the pharmaceutical markets locally.
• Managing and developing business relationships with current customers within the pharmaceutical manufacturing markets to generate new business for the companyxe2x80x99s products.
• Developing and implementing strategies to successfully obtain new business from identified potential customers.
• Liaising with overseas and local suppliers, negotiating volumes, prices and contracts in accordance with the budget as well as implementing pricing strategies.
• Working closely and training the sales team with regard to new products and technology.
• Conducting market research to identify current needs within the market and utilising this information to create tailor-made solutions for clients.
• Developing and implementing effective replenishment stock/product cycles to ensure a high level of customer service is maintained.
• Liaising with the procurement department to manage stock levels efficiently as well as procuring products.
• Accompanying the sales team and presenting product presentations on new products for the pharmaceutical manufacturing markets.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
