A well-established manufacturing and distribution chemical company requires the above to manage international suppliers within the personal care and related markets promoting a range of specialty personal care products into manufacturing industries.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• A tertiary qualification in a sciences or related discipline is preferred for this role.
• Previous product management experience managing a portfolio of principals within the personal and home care raw material manufacturing industries is preferred.
• The company will consider a Key Accounts Manager working within the personal care raw material industry who is keen to move into a product management role for this position.
• Must have strong price negotiation skills.
• Must have a sound understanding of pricing structures.
• Must have a strong commercial drive with an analytical mindset and good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to prepare and deliver presentations and reports are essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing technology partners strategically within the personal care, homecare and pharmaceutical industries promoting a range of speciality raw materials into manufacturers.
• Managing and working alongside a portfolio of key account customers when seeing customers to promote products.
• Strategically growing the portfolio of products within SA for each technology partner.
• Liaising with suppliers and negotiating volumes, prices and contracts in accordance with the budget as well as implementing pricing strategies.
• Managing and driving the margin growth on various product portfolioxe2x80x99s.
• Managing and driving the profitability growth year on year as well as working capital management.
• Presenting technical presentations on new products at customers.
• Attending conferences internationally as needed within the personal care industry.
• Conducting market research to identify current needs within the market and utilising this information to create tailor-made solutions for clients.
• Liaising with the procurement department to manage stock levels efficiently as well as procuring products as required.
