Job Description


Our client is looking to appoint a Product General Manager, whose primary role will involve assuming responsibility for and actively promoting the sales of insurance and tracking products.

There are 3 distribution channels:

  • Finance & Insurance department, responsible for offering insurance products in conjunction with vehicle financing.
  • Sales representatives who procure leads from clients making cash purchases for vehicles.
  • Telesales: Outbound initiatives aimed at marketing insurance products after the sale of a vehicle.
The Product General Manager will be responsible for managing all 3 channels to maximise revenue generated from insurance products.

Requirements
  • Minimum Grade 12 plus relevant business, insurance or marketing tertiary qualification.
  • Proven track record of at least 8 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Partnership / Relationship skills xe2x80x93 The ability to build strong relationships throughout the ranks (from our sales executives on the warehouse floors to the MDs and CEOs of our business partners).
  • Communication skills xe2x80x93 The ability to communicate effectively and appropriately at different levels of the organisation.
  • Presentation skills xe2x80x93 The ability to present and train groups with confidence, conviction and energy.
  • Reporting skills xe2x80x93 A solid understanding of numbers and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Short Term Insurance experience xe2x80x93 A good understanding of Short-Term Insurance products / experience in the Short-Term Insurance industry.
  • Project management experience xe2x80x93 The ability to lead a cross-functional project team ensuring that deadlines are met, and deliverables are produced on time.
  • Trustworthy & Disciplined xe2x80x93 The ability to work on your own and to manage and prioritise workload.
  • A passion for sales
  • Call Centre operational experience xe2x80x93 An understanding of call centre operations namely campaign management, sales funnels, contact-ability, dialers, cross selling, client communication cycles, data management, reporting. (Advantageous).
