Our client has an opportunity available for an Product Development Engineer based in Johannesburg.

Requirements:

A degree in engineering from an accredited South African university would be ideal re BEng or BSc
This role is open to all South Africans
10+ years of work experience in a FMCG or Food or Beverage Industry
5+ years of work experience from the Bakery Industry would be highly rated
5+ years in a senior management position.
Understanding of managing large CAPEX and OPEX projects
Overseeing R&D of new product development and manufacturing
Proven track record of serving the local and global market while delivering on technical engineering solutions.
Ready to travel when necessary in SA and Africa
Deep understanding of food and related markets' processing and technological process engineering.

Responsibilities:

Develop innovative concepts, services, or goods for the designated market segment.
Increase the internal technical capability.
Deal with external stakeholders to guarantee service quality and delivery.
Through the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of machinery and equipment, communicate and connect with customers.
Conduct technical formulations and solution formulations in accordance with customer interactions.
Oversee and run the spares department and workshop.
Promote ongoing development and adherence to quality standards.
Ensure that all duties inside the company's plant and support are performed to the highest standard.
Keep an eye on the market for the emergence of fresh trends and technology.
