Job Description


Job Purpose:
Research, test, design and support development and implementation of new and existing products and services

Minimum education (essential):
B. Communication Pathology in Audiology (or relevant degree in Audiology)

Minimum education (desirable):
M.Communication Pathology in Audiology (or relevant masters degree in Audiology)

Minimum applicable experience (years):
2 years post graduation (in addition to community service as part of completing the degree)

Required nature of experience:

  • Audiological field experience:
  • Fitment and fine-tuning of hearing aids
  • Troubleshooting hearing aid and customer experience related issues
  • Audiological research:
  • Research and report writing
  • Development of research protocols and execution of user studies.

Delivery Management 10%
  • Take ownership of assigned activities and work quality, whilst contributing to the product development team and B2C ecosystemxe2x80x99s objectives and goals as a whole.
  • Efficient and effective reporting on delivery progress, decisions, risks, and tasks to the Product Owner.
  • Effectively plan and prioritize own work and support the establishment, communication and management of broader product development project plans
  • Effectively track, manage, and escalate project risks
  • Effective stakeholder management, communication, and relationship management (both internal across functional teams and external)
  • Multi-task on a suite of projects and products, all within different stages of development and implementation.
Product Development 35%
  • Support evaluation and testing of new hearing aids, technology, and services to inform new product selection and development.
  • Evaluate and test existing products and services to ensure they continue to meet quality standards, and customer expectations effectively and to identify opportunities for product improvement (achievement of this measure will be evident through low failure and return rates).
  • Support the development of solutions, designs, and specifications for new or updated product concepts.
  • Own the activities and input required from the product development team for the creation of packaging and labeling, training material, FAQs, and marketing material for changes to existing and new products and services.
  • Collaborate with and support the relevant business, marketing, technical, and development teams with product implementation.
Research and User Studies 30%
  • Research, document and share audiology trends and technologies and advise on the suggested implementation thereof into the B2C suite of technologies.
  • Conduct, document, and share actionable insights from market as well as competitor research.
  • Plan, conduct, analyze, and synthesize findings from user studies and/or surveys to support product development.
  • Advocate for and foster a culture in the team for decision-making based on user needs and research.
  • Review, analyze, and share actionable insights from internal customer feedback/reviews/data and other internal data sources to aid in continuous product improvement and new product development.
Regulatory Compliance and Certification 15%
  • Compile relevant records for compliance with ISO, CE, FDA, QMS (and other) standards and requirements as applicable to assigned products
  • Ensure all product and solution proposals meet regulatory and audiological standards.
Quality Management and Process Improvement 10%
  • Produce and manage high-quality documents in line with the quality standards and processes of the division.
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with the established processes and standards for the division and product development lifecycle
  • Assist with the application, management, and improvement of quality standards and processes.
  • Conduct documentation reviews to evaluate and improve document quality across the division
