Job Description

xc2x9f Take ownership and responsibility for the detailed software development which may include the following:

xc2x9f Desktop application supporting back-office services for our vehicle telemetry system or field technicians.

xc2x9f Mobile phone applications to support our field technicians.

xc2x9f Web applications to support our vehicle telemetry system.

xc2x9f Database development supporting various applications.

xc2x9f Embedded software applications running on our in-vehicle chassis controller using C for a 32-bit processor.

xc2x9f Machine software applications running on our in-vehicle display controller using Linux or WinCE.

xc2x9f Perform necessary software engineering changes to improve our current product range.

xc2x9f Assist cross functional teams with software development assistance.

xc2x9f Be responsible to keep record of own daily time utilisation. Qualifications:

xc2x9f 4 Year University Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer/Software Engineering. Experience:

xc2x9f Applicants MUST have at least 2 years' experience in developing C / C++ / C# software applications.

xc2x9f Applicants MUST have at least 2 years' experience as a Software Engineer.

xc2x9f Previous work experience will be an added advantage.

xc2x9f Working knowledge of databases example MySQL, SQLServer or Oracle.

xc2x9f Working knowledge of Tasking, Visual Studio .NET, C++Builder or Qt.

xc2x9f Software programming of Linux systems will be an added advantage.

xc2x9f Good understanding of software source control systems.

xc2x9f Good communication skills & ability to interact with other engineering teams.

xc2x9f Knowledge of product range will be an added advantage.

xc2x9f Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office.

xc2x9f Good Technical analysis skills and ability to interpret and apply engineering principles to a practical and cost-effective solution.

xc2x9f The skill and ability to conceptualise ideas based on design philosophies and project guidelines.

xc2x9f A valid driver's licence.
