We are looking for a Product Consultant

:
Under the supervision of the Product Manager the Product Consultant is a part of the team building and deploying a software offering for Linked Investment Service Provider (LISP) clients in South Africa as a part of the Product Management team. This role will be a part of the team responsible for implementation and actions listed under the additional details section of this description as it pertains to the Global Wealth Platform (GWP) book of business in South Africa. SS&Cxe2x80x99s GWP offering is a combination of both software and services providing its clients with significant functionality across many jurisdictions. The unique characteristics within the LISP industry require detailed understanding of both product, processes, and regulatory requirements to be effective.

Additional Details about this role are:

  • Supporting the digital transformation of an organization by assisting with understanding business requirements, acting as SME and supporting implementation and product go live
  • Support the clients definition/reengineering of business processes that are fit for purpose and optimal based on the STP and automation principle, and interoperable with the applications within the implementation landscape
  • Defining business & solution requirements to present to the Product Managers within the team for approval
  • Once approved, working with development teams to develop and test those requirements
  • Assist in managing and prioritizing the requested items received by the team
  • Assistance with the audit of the application(s) managed by the product team
  • Preparing detailed requirements analysis documentation to support the development of cost effective, client driven, information management systems for both internal and external clients.
  • Contribute to the teams understanding of the South African market based on previous experience
  • Provide training and demonstrations to end users as required
  • Develop expertise in the GWP product and engage with internal stakeholders and clients as a product SME


The ideal candidate possesses;
  • Deep domain knowledge of the South African LISP market
  • Implementation and program transformation experience
  • Experience in Collective Investment dealing within South Africa
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to provide support to the application development, quality assurance and user acceptance teams throughout the development life cycle.
  • Business Level Testing experience
  • Experience with full trade life cycle, trading desks and equity/fixed income markets.


Essential Skills & Requirements:
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant experience
  • A related university degree in finance, economics, math, or computer science
  • Strong technical skills, business acumen, and an ability to develop a full understanding of the needs of the customer
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL (Structured Query Language), Excel, data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of system analysis techniques to effectively analyze and document system requirements, use cases, and workflows.
  • An effective communicator with skills to effectively communicate with external clients and internal teams
  • An individual who build bridges and can act as an interface between development, product and implementation teams
  • Flexibility to travel to client sites when required
