Machine application studies - Correct utilization of equipment in favourable and unfavourable conditions.
Production studies - Estimation of production possibilities with different scenarios. (Computer simulations) (FPC). Machine comparison studies.
Payload studies - Measure actual vs. recorded production figures by means of mobile scales
Training:
o Conduct product and application training to all sales and aftersales
o Pit Supervisor Machine Application Performance Training (MAPS)
Site Assessments - Load/ dump area conditions, Haul Road design and maintenance
Customer Feedback - Compile comprehensive report on studies conducted. Provide recommendations and follow up assessments.
Feasibility studies - Fleet size scoping for new or replacement mining programs.
Deal Team Support / Tender Process - Provide information required (product, production and application) to be used to complete tender documentation.
Value Simulation Tool (VST) super user. Provide end user training and assistance.
Incorporate Cost per Ton (CPT) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) concepts into all aspects of job role.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
Diploma / B Tech / B. Engineering (Mechanical or Mining)
>5 Years' experience in Earthmoving
Product line knowledge
Technical skills
Computer literate (MS Office)
Cat software literate (VST; CatSim; Cat ET)
Report Writing
Analytical bias
Relationship building
Communication (Verbal and written)
Presentation skills
* Ability to travel frequently to remote sites to perform site assessments and studies
