Our client requires the services of a Procurement Tender/ Contracts Manager (3Yr Contract) (On-Site) - Midrand. POSITION: 3 year contract (Renewable)
EXPERIENCE: 12 +Years total working experience

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Management, or equivalent (NON Negotiable)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a corporate procurement or contracts management environment
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, policies, and Preferential Procurement regulations
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strategic thinking, attention to detail, and results orientation
  • Advanced proficiency in Office 365 and e-procurement tools
  • Willingness to travel domestically and work flexible hours as needed
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/ RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Negotiate, manage, and renew group procurement contracts aligned with member needs
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for cost-effective sourcing
  • Coordinate and manage tender processes with full legal defensibility
  • Foster stakeholder relationships across member institutions and suppliers
  • Drive adoption and improvement of e-procurement platforms
  • Monitor contract performance, supplier compliance, and service quality
  • Assist in the development of strategic procurement policies and operational plans
  • Prepare detailed reports and analysis for executive leadership and member forums
  • Supervise one administrative staff member and contribute to regional operation.
ROLE:
This is a key role responsible for negotiating, implementing, and managing contracts that create savings and add value for our member institutions. You will engage directly with stakeholders, manage supplier relationships, oversee tenders, and ensure contract compliance.
