Job Description
RPO Recruitments client in the Mining industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Procurement Superintendent to join their team in Gauteng.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all procurement-related activities of third party spend within the assigned category of bulk commodities like Diesel, Gas, and Refractory
- Identify and implement the strategic sourcing initiatives for the assigned category to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership
- Identify, implement and maintain the relevant commodity contracts (ad hoc and committed spend) to support the business
- Achieve targeted cost savings, including effective negotiation processes with vendors
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the respective supply markets, competitors and product/service innovations
- Facilitate implementation of procurement change initiatives within the assigned category to improve business performance
- Manage all aspects of the vendor rationalization strategy within the assigned category to support the business nationally, including vendor selection, compliance and performance
- Grade 12
- Degree or National Diploma Commerce, Law, Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
- 8 - 10 years experience in procurement
- 5 years management experience
- Salary: R1Mil/yr - R1.2Mil/yr, salary negotiable
