Job Description

Main job purpose Acquire goods & services in the most compliant, efficient and cost effective manner to ensure continuity of supply, minimise risk, maintain inventory levels and manage suppliers. Main Objective To ensure that Procurement policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to thereby ensuring adherence to best practice and corporate governance. Drive and optimise the purchasing processes, inventory and supply management within the divisions to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness as well as supplier reliability. Drive to meet procurement BBBEE legislative targets. Reduce Procurement spend on a consistent basis through continuous improvement and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives. To lead category spend analysis and full value procurement through cross functional teams across the group. To manage & mitigate risk by ensuring continuity of supply. Negotiate Group contracts and SLA's in the most cost effective manner. Drive to reduce costs and identify opportunities to generate savings. Effectively manage, mentor and develop staff to build skills capacity.
Qualification(s) Grade 12 Purchasing Management / Supply Chain / Logistics or Supply Chain Diploma Purchasing Management / Supply Chain / Logistics or Supply Chain Degree Experience 5 years experience in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Engineering/ Manufacturing/ Operational management 3 years Stock Management experience Therefore 8 years relevant experience in total 5 Years experience in Procurement management. Manufacturing, Engineering, Operational or FMCG Environment.
