To purchase IT hardware and software, obtain quotations, and select suitable suppliers in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures and service level agreements

Key performance areas:
Manage daily procurement activities according to the company's Procurement Policies
Source suppliers/service providers in accordance with the company's policy and procedures
Obtain quotations from suppliers/service providers according to relevant policies and procedures
Ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality
Prepare purchase orders and invoices
Provide feedback to stakeholders on goods ordered/received and ensure relevant documentation is completed
Negotiate discounts/pricing on volume-based orders and payment terms
Contract management
Update and Maintain accurate records electronically or manually
Facilitate, manage, and escalate queries and issues to the relevant stakeholders
Required minimum education and training:
Grade 12 with relevant qualifications in Procurement or Purchasing
A driver's license is required with own transport
Required minimum work experience:
Minimum 2 years experience in procurement/purchasing preferably in an IT environment
Negotiation and contract management experience
Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:
Experience in a project-based environment
Networking, influencing, business acumen, and communication skills
Must be able to take ownership of all allocated functions and be responsible
Exceptional organization and administrative skills together with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Must have a positive attitude with the willingness to continuously grow in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work early mornings and after hours as and when required
