Our client, a listed and leading plastics manufacturer based in Durban, is seeking a dynamic Procurement Officer to join their team for a 3-month contract. This role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with strong procurement knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Key Responsibilities & Competencies:
- Manage contract and project orders with precisionensure flawless SAP execution and order book control.
- Resolve vendor issues (pricing, delivery, quality) quickly and professionally.
- Lead contract lifecycle: loading, tracking, renewals, and legal admin (NDA, DPA, SLA).
- Prepare RFQs with focus on cost-effectiveness, risk mitigation, and value creation.
- Onboard new vendors, complete credit applications, and deliver monthly KPIs.
- Ensure full compliance with procurement policy and governance standards.
- Advanced computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP R3)
- Matric (Grade 12) and BCom degree in Supply Chain or studying towards
- 3+ Years experience in the procurement environment.
