Job Description
This mid-level role bridges procurement, manufacturing coordination, and financial administration.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a textile or manufacturing environment and be comfortable using accounting systems to manage stock, suppliers, and financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement :
- Create, process and manage purchase orders for raw materials and supplies.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance
- Capture and monitor manufacturing processes and stock movements in the accounting system
- Assist in production planning and inventory control
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable (creditors and debtors)
- Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end financial reporting
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain accurate records of procurement and production costs
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems (Sage)
- Understanding of procurement and manufacturing workflows
- 35 years experience in procurement, manufacturing, or finance
- Basic finance knowledge (debtors, creditors, reconciliations)
- Strong understanding of stock control and cost tracking
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
