An exciting interim opportunity awaits!
We are looking for a highly energetic and proactive Finance Manager to support our client, a leading Pan-African Tax & Legal Services firm, on a fixed-term assignment. This is a hands-on operational finance role for someone who thrives in a high-pressure environment, can think on their feet, and enjoys working across the full finance value chain.
The successful candidate will be a visible, approachable problem-solver, not someone who hides behind a desk. You'll help the firm unblock bottlenecks during a system migration, identify gaps in current processes, and introduce practical solutions that keep things moving.
Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day accounting, reporting, compliance, and cash flow.
• Operational Problem-Solving: Spot inefficiencies, remove bottlenecks, and implement workable solutions.
• System Migration Support: Actively drive testing, validation, and implementation of the new cloud-based system.
• Financial Analysis & Planning: Deliver clear insights on budgets, forecasts, and performance drivers.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with legal professionals and senior management, translating numbers into actionable decisions.
• Process Improvement: Strengthen policies, controls, and routines that ensure accuracy and efficiency.

About You

• Experience: At least 5+ years at Finance Manager level in an SME or professional services environment (not banking or large corporates).
• Qualifications: Degree or postgraduate degree in Accounting/Finance. Professional certifications (e.g., CIMA, SAIPA) are an advantage, but CA(SA) not required.
• Style: Out-of-the-box thinker, high-energy, proactive, approachable, and strong communicator.
• Skills: Comfortable working end-to-end across finance, with proven success in process improvement and system implementation.
