Job Summary Leading plastics company requires a suitably experienced Setter for their injection moulding plant in Cape Town's southern suburbs. Dayshift position, EE candidates preferred. Monthly remuneration: To R25 000 + medical aid + pension Requirements: * Matric / N3 Engineering minimum, additional plastics certifications advantageous * 5 years relevant plastic injection moulding experience, in rigid plastics * Excellent processing and setting knowledge on stretch injection moulding machines * Mechanical aptitude * Strong fault finding skills * Analytical thinker * Enthusiastic and motivated * Passionate about excellent service * Own transport advantageous Duties: - Assist in achieving a production efficiency of 80% - Run good quality products at costed or below costed cycles - Assist in ensuring that production waste is maintained below 2% - Set machines according to best practices - Do pre planning before every mould change to minimise downtime - Conduct maintenance on machinery and equipment in the department - Report all mould related issues to the Process Manager - Properly maintain maintenance records as per company requirements - Attend to mechanical and settings breakdowns - Assist production in achieving optimum efficiencies - Advise on and implement technical improvements where appropriate and cost effective - Actively ensure that all moulds are serviced, cared for and maintained appropriately - Practice a high standard of housekeeping and safety - Attend to callouts on breakdowns - Overcome problems and obstacles as a team Contact Scott on 0117041302
