- Primary custodian of PSM and the implementation and ongoing maintenance of all elements of PSM
- Compiles capital expenditure proposals for process-related projects & monitor ROI on capex projects
- Assist Operations team as a technical expert, problem solving and technical guidance
- Carry out technical investigations, including development of technical and efficiency reports
- Prepare process summaries and schedules as part of monthly flash reports
- Custodian of change process management
- Advise operations personnel on process changes required to optimize or expand pre-existing circuits
- Thoroughly understand the operation of typical high pressure boilers, furnaces, organic effluent plant, demin plant, cooling towers and compressors, etc.
- Maintain and improve SHERQ systems
- Assist with development (trial) work from the pilot plant to actual factory.
- BTech Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a technical field or Process Safety Management
- Sound experience with boiler and furnace utility management and operability
- Strong people management, performance management and leadership skills
- Professional Registration with ECSA is highly advantageous
- Computer literate and must have advanced MS Office training.
