Job Description

Job Summary Our client in the banking industry is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to come onboard and ensure operational excellence and optimisation of total operational spend across the Group.

Key accountabilities include:

• Ensuring optimal integration of processes, people and technology through analysing, researching, designing recommedning and implementing business processes
• Identifying scope and lifecycle of business processes
• Ensuring that processes as well as system designs are integrated into a single business unit
• Providing input into documentation, formalisation and validation of to-be concept and design proposals
• Conducting proactive detection of process bottle-necks and high level operational value chain
• Defining process performance criteria and requirements in terms of time, cost, resources etc.
• Participating in business efficiency improvement forums
• Acting as coach to business (line managers) and other process custodians
• Performing business impact analysis in liaison with line managers on any change that is imposed on the current operational environment
• Coordinating and facilitating analysis, assessment and design workshops and initiatives to identify improvement opportunities
• Maintaining interaction with Business Analysts, Change Agents as well as Project Managers to create synergies throughout process re-engineering and implementation

Requirements & Skills:

• 3-5 years process optimization experience
• 2-3 years solid financial services / insurance background
• Scientific methodologies associated with efficiency improvements, i.e. queuing theories, BPR and Lean methodologies
• BTech / B Eng / Bsc Industrial engineering preferable (or Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical will also be advantageous)
• Lean or six-sigma qualifications
