Job Description


Our client in the Financial Industry is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team in Sandton for a 12-month contract.

Role purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in the banking environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing and streamlining our business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to drive continuous process optimization.

Responsibilities:

Process Analysis and Optimization:

  • Conduct thorough analyses of existing business processes within the banking environment.
  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in operational workflows.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Utilize data analysis tools to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant data to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of implemented process changes.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and business needs.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure alignment on process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to employees on new processes and tools.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to banking processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by fostering collaboration and feedback.
Project Management:
  • Lead or contribute to process improvement projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure successful implementation of process changes.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to key stakeholders.
Role requirement:
  • Relevant IT degree or diploma
  • 5-8 years process engineer experience
  • Must have payments and business architecture experience
