Job Description

The Process Engineer will monitor, analyse and report on all phases of the manufacturing process to ensure proper procedures and methods are being utilized to produce the highest quality casting expectations. The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining a liaison between sand, metallurgical and chemical control, heat treating and all production teams; to coordinate process controls and standards procedures activities at each phase of manufacturing process; for analysing production limitations and recommending revisions of specifications when indicated to improve quality of product and/or processes.

Roles and responsibilities:

Coordinate with production supervisor and communicates with team leaders.

Evaluate the daily statistical data and communicate with Maintenance, Operations and Metallurgy when preventive, corrective or improvement actions are needed. Works with Quality Management and Metallurgy team to identify improvement priorities based on the statistics of the process results and outputs. Assist with ISO QM System by ensuring conformance in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 standards applicable to the facilities. Keep records of daily work and provide reports to the leadership team for effective data driven decision-making. Perform design of experiments (DOE), process flow-charts and SPC requirements. Follow up on specific activities required by Management. Comply with the laws and regulations of the department and the company's quality, safety, environment and occupational health management regulations. Participate and support all company audit program, internal or external including ISO system. Recognize and adhere to ME-Elecmetal company core values.
Qualifications and Experience :

The incumbent must have a 4-year degree in a related Engineering discipline with 1-3 years working in a heavy industrial environment

? High proficiency in data management, data management tools, statistics and applying to manufacturing process control.

? Familiar with foundry process

? The position requires excellent communications skills and the ability to establish and accomplish goals through interaction of many other plants and outside personnel
