Grade 7 Teacher / Tutor (ADHD Support) - Irene, Centurion

We are looking for an experienced Grade 7 Tutor/Teacher to support a learner with ADHD at a private residence (one student only).

The successful candidate must be able to provide academic support in the following subjects:

Mathematics, English, Natural Science, Technology, Social Sciences, and Afrikaans.

Key focus will be on Mathematics and English.

Location: Irene, Centurion

Hours: Afternoons, 2:30pm - 5:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Type: At-residence tutoring (one learner)

Own vehicle required

Requirements

BEd (Intermediate Phase or Senior Phase & FET) OR PGCE with Mathematics/English/Senior Phase specialization SACE registration Minimum 3 years proven teaching or tutoring experience with Grade 6-9 learners in:
- a public or private school OR

- an established tutoring company (references required)

Proven experience teaching Mathematics and English at Grade 7 level Real experience working with ADHD learners and/or learners with learning or attention difficulties
Responsibilities

Conduct regular sessions (2-3 per week) Lesson planning ADHD-friendly teaching approaches Strong focus on Mathematics and English Weekly updates and monthly written progress reports Prepare learner for tests and exams Assist learner with task initiation and completion skills Teach and re-teach concepts where gaps exist
