A high-profile family based in an exclusive Family Estate in Mooikloof, Gauteng is seeking an experienced and creative Private Chef to manage their daily culinary requirements.
Description
The chef will prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for a household of six, while maintaining exceptional standards of presentation, hygiene, and professionalism.
This position requires someone who is organised, discreet, and confident in preparing a range of African and contemporary cuisines, with the ability to plan menus around the family's preferences and dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily meals (lunch and dinner) for a family of six.
• Design well-balanced, nutritious menus that incorporate seasonal and fresh ingredients.
• Confidently prepare traditional African dishes and contemporary family-style meals.
• Creatively repurpose leftovers to minimise waste while maintaining quality.
• Source, purchase, and manage kitchen stock and supplies.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, organisation, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Plan and prepare meals for small gatherings or family events as needed.
• Ensure smooth coordination with household staff and the family's personal preferences

Remuneration:

• Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
• Working Days: Tuesday to Sunday
• Start Date: As soon as possible

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Private Chef or in an executive household.
• Strong knowledge of African cuisine and comfort with international family-style cooking.
• Passion for healthy, nutritious, and creative meals.
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability.
• Must be willing to work Tuesday to Sunday, with Mondays off.
• A valid driver's licence and own reliable transport is preferred.
