: Gravure Printing Operator

Job purpose

:

We are currently looking for a qualified Gravure Printing Operator with experience, to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent

Formal qualification in the trade Minimum of 5 years' experience in Gravure plastic printing machine operation Proficient in operating equipment and systems, including IoT-based controls Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (or in-house production systems) Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Knowledge of ink viscosity, colour matching and ink colour mixing

Willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required Proactive, responsible, and reliable Able to work independently with minimal supervision Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate and set up printing machines according to job specifications and production requirements Ensure all processes comply with quality, safety, and environmental standards within the ISO framework Run quality checks and team management Collaborate with team members to promote a safe and efficient work environment Thoroughly assess work orders to understand production requirements Guarantee the final product meets customer specifications and quality standards Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization within the department Accurately maintain and update production records using in-house systems Contribute actively to improving machine availability by adhering to preventative maintenance procedures

Pay: R123,00 - R1324,00 per month
