Requirements



National Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering and

registration as a Pr. Tech Eng



8 years or more relevant post registration experience in fleet

management, fleet/plant maintenance



Advanced Computer literacy (MS Office applications and SAP PM) A valid Code EB driver's licence

Key Performance Areas



Develop, implement, and maintain information databases

(Vehicle routing, driver identification, vehicle and driver licence



renewals, fuel consumption, proactive maintenance etc.)



Prepare analytical and productivity reports referring to statistical

data and qualitative information.



Investigate deviations from predetermined fleet operational

standards and submit reports to management.



Evaluate and update operational manuals and procedure to

accommodate technological advancements and business



improvements.



Conduct market research in alignment with operational needs

and for the customisation of operating systems.



Visit satellite workshops and vendors to conduct inspections to

establish that repairs and maintenance procedures are in



accordance with vehicle design, specifications, and statutory



regulations.



Monitor compliance with administrative and reporting

requirements and provide direction to vendors and workshop on



resolution of referred problems associated with inaccurate data



or information.



Assist with the performance management of service level

agreements, contracts and tenders.

Note:

The successful candidate may be required to travel within the



City of Cape Town.
